So here are a couple of things we have been up to, with more to come!
1) Fishing. I went fly fishing a couple of weeks ago on the Missouri and caught myself this beauty
2) I did my first triathlon. Here is the story. Last year, I helped work this race and the whole time thought to myslef "I could do this!" but I tend to fear failure so as it approached this year I didn't really even consider doing it. Then Wednesday before the race I went swimming at the lake where the event is held and I swam the course just fine. So, I decided that fear of failing was a lame reason to not try and do this, after all what was the worst that would happen? I take breaks and finish slower than other--I still tried right?
Well, to my delight I did really good! I was in the top finishers for the swim and took 4th in my age group(25-29) only 10 minutes behind the winners!! Now I caught the bug and I want to take that 10 minutes off my time and see if I can actually compete in these things! And the lesson learned is this: fear, and anxiety are lousy excuses for not trying something new.

Another fun thing was that Chad, Chase and Mara were all in the help boats out on the lake for the swim so I got cheers the whole way, so fun!

ROCKSTAR!
Both a fish and a triathlon? What CAN'T you do?
Aside: in photo two, I thought the guide's clamp was attached too close to his nipple, and it made me "Eep!" in alarm for him. NO WAY would he have such a big smile on his face if it were so, however, so I relaxed.
Thanks friend!
